Ihab Shaker was a multi-talented artist who specialized in animation.  He rose as a prominent sketch artist through his work in Egyptian journalism institutions.  He was a prolific artist producing various forms of artwork from children’s books, puppets, illustration, cartoons, paintings, animation, and news caricatures. Ihab Shaker’s collection was acquired by Cimatheque in 2012. It includes: 

• 20 16mm analog films, uninspected 

• Hundreds of sketches, personal papers

• The animation machine Shaker worked on (that was also made in Egypt).  

• 150 items - magazines and books on cinema and animation from Shaker’s library.  

• 100 VHS recordings (unidentified) and 30 audiotapes (unidentified)
