Cimatheque - Alternative Film Centre in collaboration with UMAM Documentation and Research Foundation in Lebanon and the Archipelago Network in Greece invite archive practitioners/researchers with a legal background to join a workshops on legal and ethical practices related to archiving. In the workshop, we will engage in dialogue about the common challenges faced by archival institutions and the obstacles hindering the programming of diverse archival materials. The workshop will address several questions and topics related to the legal aspect of archiving, such as the ethics of dealing with private archival collections, the required contracts to protect hosting institutions, and reimagining archival policies and procedures.

3-4 participants will be selected according to relevancy of experience.
